Introduction The most famous trekking route in the world is K2 base camp, a strenuous and demanding but rewarding as well. Starting from Skardu, the capital of Baltistan, we cross Shigar, a lush green fertile and fruit laden valley and drive as far as Askole, the road head and the last dwelling before entering into the Galen Rowell’s ‘throne room of the mountain gods’. Walking on the treacherous but panoramic Baltoro Glacier, we see several famous and beautiful mountains en route. Finally we arrive at Concordia, the junction of Baltoro and Godwin Austin Glaciers with several other tributaries and a place serving as the base for the four giants of Karakurums, i.e. Gasherbrum II ( 8035m ), Broad Peak ( 8047m ) and Hidden Peak or Gasherbrum I ( 8068m ) dominated by the king of the mountains, K-2 ( 8611m ).The beauty of the place has no match in the world and the view of K2 is gorgeous. The return journey is possible via the same route or crossing the Ghondoghoro La, a technical pass at 5650 meters, offering a good challenge to epic enthusiasts. This route leads to Hushe, another picturesque valley of Baltistan and we drive to Skardu visiting Khaplu, the famous sub division of the area, noted for its old buildings of a castle and a mosque.

Day 1
Day 01

Arrival in Islamabad. Altitude: 1000m Condition: moderate.

Guide of the Skardu Tour and staff will meet you at the airport and shift you to the hotel. After lunch you can enjoy an explore beautiful capital city Islamabad visit the Shah Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian and Daman-e-koh to catch a bird's eye view of Islamabad city . In the evening you will invite a welcome Traditional local dinner. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Comfart inn Hotel, Envoy hotel .

Fly to skardu or drive to chilas 1/24 hours. Altitude: 2000m, Condition: mode

moderate. Early in the morning you will transfer to be at the airport in time for your flight to Skardu. If the weather is good, we will fly and we'll be able to see three highest mountains ranges Karakoram, Hindukush, Himalaya and Indus River the third longest in Asia . To our east is K2 Broad Peak , GI, GII , Nanga Parbat and other 6000 m 7000m countless peaks and glaciers. It is sometime possible to catch a glimpse of K2 in the distant before our dramatic landing at Skardu. On arrival we are welcome by our staff with jeeps and transfer you to the hotel in Skardu city town . We have some time to explore the town and Sightseeing in Skardu and surrounding areas during the day. For those seeking a good overview of Skardu, or a place from which to photograph the sunset, Kharfocho Fort is a good spot. If the flight is cancel because of bad weatheror other reason, we will travel to by road on Karakoram Highway (KKH) along the Indus rever to Chilas. The drive is compensated by the beautiful scenery along the Karakoram highway. The journey on the Karakoram Highway is most exciting and thrilling and following the ancient Silk route along the Indus Valley to arrive at Chilas with many rocks carving and inscriptions along the way left by Chinese pilgrims and ancient travelers of 5th century A.D. 9 hours. Altitude: 2000m, Condition: moderate.

After breakfast we will set out towards Skardu and after jeglod and will able to see view o Nanga 8126m parbat and the tree highest mountain ranges Himalaya, Karakora,and Hindukush meeting point and finally we will arrive in skardu passing Rundo valley from Hramosh we can see Haramosh peak also.

Rest Day in Skardu

Day 5
Day 05

Skardu to Askole. 7/8 hours. Drive . Altitude: 3050m, Condition:Normal.

We rise early and after breakfast drive to Shigar is a history-soaked medieval town. There is also a heritage Palace cum Fort (Fong khar), The Khanqah Moalla and Amburiqu mosque are famous for its uniquely carved wooden windows and meditation cells.Then an exciting jeep journey takes us through the landscapes and fields of the Shigar Valley before the road narrows to a mountain track leading to the road head at Askole, the last inhabitancy on our way to the great glaciers. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6
Day 06

Askoli to Julla. 5/6 hours. Altitude: 3150, Condition: Normal.

After breakfast we leave the last inhabited village Askole. Porters are assembled to carry our luggage for the next section of the journey our porters who carry our food and equipment and sustain our expedition. After one hour walk we come across an old polo field call kasar polo ground . Passing through a rock gap we cross the Biafo glacier. The Biafo Glacier is 63 Km long which descends from the central peaks of the Karakoram and flows East into the Braldu Valley at a point about 10 Km east of Askole. After two and a half hour treks a long and uphill walk we reach in korafong camp site where we take lunch break and after lunch break we start trek towards julls after two hours walk over a steep ridge along the Dumordo river. Descend at Jula, crossing a wire rope bridge supported by a wooden basket and camp beside a torrent facing the Bakhordas peak. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Camping

Julla to Paiju. 6/7 hours. Altitude: 3480m, Condition: Easy.

Early in the morning we start trek along the Braldu River to a green oasis under the shadows of Paiu Peak, the last grove of trees before the trail moves onto the glacier, 6611m. Paiju is a Balti dialect word that means salt Since there are some rock salt deposits in this peak and camp area the camp site water also little salty there for the local people say paiju , From this camp we have the first views of the impressive Baltoro Glacier, cathedral group mango peak and liligopeak. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Camping.

Day 8
Day 08

Paiju to Khubuche. 5/6 hours. Altitude: 4000m, Condition: stony and icy.

We set out from paiju and start trek with a gradual climb up Baltoro Glacier on the southern edge. After about one hour the path divides at the snout of Baltoro glacier where the left branch goes to the base camp of Trango Tower, Shipton tower. Continue to the path climbing up on to the right glacier that stretches up the valley further one to two hours steady climb up and down you will rich to the liligo lanch camp site after luch more two hours walk on a long diagonal to the right side you will rich in Khubochi campsite.

Day 9
Day 09

Khubochi to Urduka. 3/4 hours. 4130m, Condition: stony and icy. Today morning we leave khubochi camp and walk mostly and slowly up along the crest of lateral moraine towards Urdukas. This camp has superb views across the Baltoro Glacier to the Trango peaks, having view of Paiu Peak, Chorichi, Uli Biaho, Trango Tower and so on and is our last 'green grass' campsite. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Camping.

Urdukas to Goro. 6/7 hours. Altitude : 4500m Condition: stony. Rise early and view the beautiful sun light on the all rocky towers of the Karakorm it is a good opportunity to get pictuers .After breakfast A long walk on the icy Baltoro Glacier, Traveling on the glacier it is almost an all day walk over the boulder-strewn glacier to the campsite at Goro. Traverse the Yermanandu Glacier which flows down from Masherbrum & joins the Baltoro. Masherbrum is visible on the right side of the glacier, and Mustagh Tower on the left, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum IV, Mattra peak,and can be seen directly ahead, as they catch the evening sunlight and Masherbrum can sen right site form the Goro camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Camping.

Goro to Concordia. 5/6 hours Altitude: 4720m, Condition: stony and icy

Early start trekking towards Concordia walk over the boulder and icy glacier, we pass through some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world; and then after finally we arrive a huge junction of Baltoro, Abruzzi & Godwin Austin Glaciers place trekkers and mountaineers paradise is called Concordia. Concordia, is theconfluence of five glaciers, offers unprecedented views of the Karakorum peaks.Within a short radius of 15 Kilometers, stand 41 peaks over 6500 meters including 04 peaks above 8000 M. The 360 view offers a panorama of peaks nowhere to be found on this Earth. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Camping.

Concordia to K-2 BC.5/6 hours. Altitude: 5150m Condition: hard. Rise airly and view the beautiful sun light on the world highest 8000m peak K.2, Broad peak GIV and 7000m, 6000m peaks of the Karakorm it is a good opportunity to get photography There is plenty of time to admire the scenery and find the best vantage points from which to take photographs of the surrounding peaks. After breakfast A long walk on the icy and stony glacier. Concordia,K2 Base Camp in a single day (10 hrs round trip). Others may choose to explore base camps or just sit and watch K2 and other peaks all day. Overnight at Concordia in tents. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Camping.

K2 BC to Concordia 4/5 hours. Altitude: 4700m, Condition: stony and icy.

After an early breakfast, we walk on the love Baltoro glacier which is fairly easy walking on the stony path on the left side of the glacier. It's a comparatively easy and gradual walk over stony ice, Looking back gives an unusual view of the great Karakoram peaks: Paiju peak ,Matra and Mustaq Tower. The trail continues to GI GII. And then we will be in GI GII BC. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Camping.

Concordia to to Ali camp.6/7 hours. Altitude: 4800m, Condition: stony and icy.

After an early breakfast, we walk down on the vigen glacier and then start walk on Vigne glacier which is fairly easy then walking on the stony path on the right side of the glacier but it depends on the snow condition. It's a comparatively easy and gradual walk over snow and ice, Looking back gives an unusual view of the great Karakoram peaks: K2,Broad Peak and the Gasherbrums. The trail continues to'Ali Camp' situated on a rocky site.We turn in early, as we have a midnight wake-up call for the departure over the Gondogoro La. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Camping.

Ali camp to Cross G La Khuspang. 9 hours. Altitude: 5700m, Condition: hard icy.

Today our trek start as early as 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning to cross the Ghondogoro la to reach Khuspang.we sould get up 1o'clock at night The basic theme behind the early walk to reach the top of the Ghondogoro Pass 5600 meters is that in the morning snow will be soft and we will not get tired quickly as the sun is not strong, but as sun get strong snow get soft snow going to be melt and bring water and stones, also the chance of ice falls or avalanches and second is when we get on to top early we can find the son light most spectacular view on earth on the top of K.2, Broad peak, GIGII , Muztagh Tower and from Hushe side you will find Laila peak, Ninchi peak and other a lot of more peaks and we can get good photography. Also this day is one of the toughest and most challenging days of the trek, and although it is a long and tiring day, Muztagh Tower and from Hushe side you will find Laila peak, pastoro peak and a lot of more.

Khuspang to Saischo. 5/6 hours. Altitude: 3450m Condition: stony and icy After an easy walk we will enter in to the moving boulders and ice glacier, finally crossing the glacier up to the camping site to reach Dalsangpa, meaning 'field of flowers'. It is a beautiful campsite at about 4,150 meters, set between two lakes, with Masherbrum Mountain and the white glacier cascading down from Masherbrum Pass reflected in the still water. Resume trek along the path,on the left side of the lateral moraine, crossing several side streams. The next hour is an unpleasant scramble along the stony, sliding glacier edge, with huge boulders poised above. Continue trek along the path goes down hill to the summer settlement called Saicho, a large shepherds settlement. This is the traditional camp among the forest of juniper, cedar and willow trees with giant bushes of wild roses and a good water supply. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Camping.

Day 17

Saischo to Hushe/skardu. 7/8 hours. Altitude: 3450m, Condition: Normal. Early morning start walk after breakfast towards Hushe on an easy path. Upon arrival camp near the fields in Hushe, with the huge peak of Masherbrum dominating the view to the north. At an altitude of over 3000 metres, Hushe is the highest village in the area and is the first habitation we will see when we reach the Hushe Valley and finely after a long and hard trek we reach in Hushe village. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Hotel Indus hotel Skardu, snow land palace Hotel Skardu.

Fly or Islamabad or drive to Chilas/naran 1/12 hours. Altitude: 2000m, Condition: moderate. Early in the morning you will transfer to be at the airport in time for your flight to Islamabad. If the weather is good, we will fly and we'll be able to see three highest mountains ranges Karakoram, Hindukush, Himalaya and Indus River the third longest in Asia . To our east is K2 Broad Peak , GI, GII , Nanga Parbat and other 6000 m 7000m countless peaks and glaciers. It is sometime possible to catch a glimpse of K2 in the distant before our dramatic landing at Islamabad. On arrival we transfer you to the hotel in Islamabad. Chilas to Islamabd. 12 hours. Altitude: 1000m, Condition: moderate. After breakfast we will set out towards Islamabad and we will take lunch in besham then manshra and finally we will arrive in Islamabad.
